Cox and Kings Appoints Classic Vacations as Sri Lanka’s PSA

Classic Travel’s prominent and pioneering role in Sri Lanka’s travel sector is reflected with the certifications and partnerships that the company holds. Amongst these are the accreditation of International Air Transport Association (IATA) and being the General Sales Agent of MakeMyTrip.com for Sri Lanka. It is also the exclusive Passenger Sales Agency for Korean Air for the Maldives region.

Further, Classic Travel is also partnered with Egencia, which is part of the world’s largest travel company – Expedia. In recent months, Classic Vacations, which is part of Classic Travel, has embarked on ways and means of utilizing technology to offer better service levels to the customers. The use of a Customer Relationship Management database has enabled the company to offer personalized travel experiences based on the exact requirements and wants of the customers, further strengthening the bond Classic Vacations has with them.

It comes as no surprise that Classic Vacations has been appointed by Cox and Kings Ltd, one of the longest existing travel establishments in the world, as the Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) in Sri Lanka. This partnerships means that Sri Lankans traveling abroad now have more options to choose from, given the global presence and reputation of luxury travel of Cox and Kings.

At present, more than 1.3 million Sri Lankans travel overseas for a range of vacations and tours, and this number is increasing by at least 15% annually. Classic Vacation’s new partnership with Cox and Kings offers travellers to easily travel to more destinations around the world courtesy of the latter’s network spanning Europe, Middle East, USA, Australia, and New Zealand.

Cox and Kings Ltd (CKL) is a premium travel brand that has been in operation for as taggering two and a half centuries, and offers a range of travel related services for leisure, business, education, MICE, and adventure travel, as well as in trade fairs, Visa processing, and foreign exchange. CKL covers 23 countries across 4 continents, and subsidiary brands have been set up based on the target market and the type of tour.

Service is placed at the helm for CKL’s operations, and this vision has helped it win a number of awards in recent years including ‘Favorite Outbound Tour Operator’ and ‘India’s Leading Travel Agency’ awards in the past two years. Cox and Kings is also one of the founding members of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), and is a member of other travel industry associations in India and in the region.
